Sea of Cultures

Porto Antico-Casa Slow Food

In last few years, we’ve heard the first-hand stories of people who left their homeland in search of a new future. Several reasons pushed men, women and families to leave their homes and cross seas: war, climate change, violation of rights, yearning for freedom and need to improve living conditions. Immigration is bringing more challenges and new cultural, political, socio-economic and gastronomic questions. Migrants have been able to change their roles in the country they migrated, creating long-lasting projects and new businesses – a meeting to learn about their experiences and to question possibilities of a different welcome.

Moderation: Eva Kallinger, weekly correspondent of Focus magazine for Italy and the Vatican.
The conferences are free entry while seats last.
