Street Food, Food Trucks and Breweries

Piazza Caricamento will be lively everyday between noon and midnight, occupied by street food, various food trucks and artisanal breweries.

You’ll be able to taste excellent Italian street food, eat at the “mobile restaurants” dropping anchor in Genoa, and discover quality beers from Italian craft breweries—an occasion not to be missed!

Here is a list of all the street foods, food trucks and artisanal breweries that you will find in Piazza Caricamento:

Street Food

Associazione Cacciucco di Livorno

A plate of great historical and social value, the cacciucco alla Livornese is one of the most famous fish recipes in Italy, and an unmissable feature of Piazza Caricamento.

Consorzio Molluschicultori di Olbia (Olbia Shellfish Collectors Collective)
From Sardinia, the gold of Olbia: clams, razor clams, sea urchins, and above all mussels in all their freshness and flavor, the stars of delicious sauces.

Le delizie
From Agrigento, one of the most sumptuous expressions of Italian street food: the arancini and other fried Sicilian delicacies filled with freshest local catch.
La Tigellina has a rich and varied offering, from the eponymous Tigella bread with anchovies, the burratina cheese of Mount Cimone, stracchino cheese and rocket or mackerel fillets, marinated Tropea onions and red chard.

Migliori olive all’ascolana
The Migliori family kitchen returns to Piazza Caricamento with its fried, fish-stuffed olives from Ascoli Piceno.

Osteria del gran fritto
It’s called the Osteria del Gran Fritto (Big fry up) and it’s such an invigorating experience that imitators have appeared in Cesenatico, Milano Marittima and Bologna. Their street food stall offers the classic mix of fried fish served in a cone.

TPOH The Pursuit of Happiness

Fresco Piada created their new brand TPOH. They will offer us piadina romagnola with anchovies and other seafood dishes.

Zena Zuena
From Genoa, in Genoa. Zena Zuena brings its farinata and pizza to Piazza Caricamento, faithfully following the typical Genoese recipe that has its roots in the 15th century.

Food Trucks

Ape scottadito
“Goodness on the move” is the slogan of Andrea Illuminati’s three-wheeled truck, that is coming up the Marche to Genoa with its cargo of fried fish served in traditional paper wrap.

A group of guys makes a bet one day: will they be able to take the food of their native Romagna on tour for the streets of Italy and Europe? Well, they’ve arrived in Genoa, with the anchovy-filled piadinas.

Camugin is an all-Genoese project born in 2013. They serve fried fish and panissa, a classic Ligurian recipe made from chickpea flour, rich in flavor yet made with very simple ingredients.

Cinemadivino in collaboration with Tutto Pannocarta
The food truck will be sponsored by Lucart with their new product Tutto Pannacarta. Carlo Catani and the young Cinemadivino team will be at the truck with their squid menu and flatbread tastings.
An authentic Ligurian food company specialized in berries and other forest fruits made into fresh, sweet ice cream. A sweet way to complete your Slow Fish experience.

Fever-Tree are pioneers of a completely new category of beverage: natural soft drinks. Research into raw materials and the use of natural cane sugar characterize their tonic waters, ginger beer and natural colas, which have won numerous awards around the world.

Pastificio Novella
From Sori, the land of trofie pasta and ravioli, the kitchen of a local baker offers us plates of fresh, fish-stuffed pasta.

Sea Food Mobile
A food truck with a curious but fitting form: a boat! Here you can find the classic bread butter and anchovies, served steaming hot.

Urban Food Italy
An idea born to gather the best international street foods in one street and using only high quality ingredients. Urban Food Italy is a very new mobile kitchen to take part in Slow Fish. They will offer us an English menu: fish and chips with a beer pastry and tea-smoked mackerel panino.

Artisanal Beers

To accompany all the plates on offer at Piazza Caricamento? With Italian beers, obviously (with two special guests, the Buntavar brewery in Slovakia and Kulmbacher Brauerei in Germany)!
