Fish in the city: trends, habits, and good practices

Porto Antico-Slow Fish Arena

What are the trends and habits regarding the consumption of fish in cities? What advice can we give to consumers in order to facilitate more conscious choices? How can we get to know fish species better, and where they come from? How can we avoid scams?

We talk with different actors about how we can achieve sustainability through diversified consumption that focuses on lesser-known species. The biologist Roberto di Lernia analyzes fish consumption in Milan through his project Blue Food Green Future.

He’s joined by Beppe Gallina of the homonymous fish shop in Turin, well known for its comprehensive vision of quality, and Daniele Mugnano of Fish Box, an ethical purchasing group which brings fishers and consumers closer together.
